A Visit to One of the World’s Largest Pencil Factories
Recently, I spent a day down in the town of Stein, Germany, near Nuremberg, to visit the Faber-Castell pencil company. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a lot of fun to shoot. The Count Faber-Castell was a lovely guy, very elegant and regal, but quite nice. And the factory was fascinating.
As one of those people who can spend hours watching stuff get made, especially in cutting-edge factories, I thought filming was a treat. Every direction I turned my gaze I saw something interesting happening.
